Welcome to The Campfire
Hey All! My name is Nate Truax, designer, avid outdoorsman and founder of Hetchy. As a designer, my work can be seen throughout the United States in establishments such as Costco, Whole Foods and Disneyland to name a few. I am currently in residency at Crankbrothers, a mountain bike components company, working on various design projects.
As an outdoorsman, I love all sorts of disciplines. I hike, backpack, ride bikes, off-road and camp. I pretty much love it all. One weekend I’ll be bagging a 14er like Mt. Langley in the Sierra Nevada range and the next I’ll be camping out in the desert tackling a tough trail at my 5 acre spot near King of the Hammers.
I have been writing and journaling for years and have been given praise to the way I write. It is a dream to write a book one day and so here I am. I would like to offer my stories, knowledge and curiosities to you. As well as combine writing with my creative design outlet, Hetchy.
